Duties


Adjunct

  • Engage, educate & evaluate student body in best practices, history, & techniques of graphic design & image manipulation; design for current & future proof web standards of html5 & css3, including responsive design.
  • Effectively educate students on judicious production of their designs into viable, & meaningful layouts & sites.
  • ­Fully involve students in design processes from conception to completion, highlighting Design Thinking and Agile production: project scopes, site maps, wire-framing, design, & implementation.

Graphic Design

  • Conceive & complete engaging, effective, & deliberate material (physical, digital, interactive) based on clients’ identity standards & voice. ­
  • Research & evidence drive design for consistent user experience, identity presence, & message.
  • Employ Design Thinking and Agile Processes to provide improvement levels for client work.

Set Design

  • Drive high quality construction & graphic/painting techniques via education to grades 9-12 for plays & musicals.
  • ­Design & develop portable but strong & durable, themed imagery, objects, & props
  • Direct & inform students of safe material use & design processes & techniques.
  • Manage team of 60+ student tech crew in quick, effective, and quiet scene changes during performances
