For a teaching class students were tasked to create a video reflective of education, culture and using the local art museum as a resource.
The title comes from a blend of the still photo/short French film La Jetée and the Title of the Ian Monroe show at the time: Currents 105.
I have an Art k-12 teaching certificate, and in so possessing had to study for it to earn it. In the course of these classes, one was co-taught by a curator of the St. Louis Art Museum. In this class we were assigned to create a video highlighting elements of culture, and using the museum as a resource; not only for educators but students as well. I decided to to create a trailer for a new version of a favorite French short film, La Jetée. We had to create an outline (scan below), but here are a few highlights:
I owe much of the source material I worked with to the the Museum’s Director of Education and a colleague at KMOV (our local CBS affiliate. The former helped me take photos and allowed me access to marketing materials for the high profile Ian Monroe show at the St. Louis Art Museum. The latter got and granted me permission to still photos and video footage of the storm damage at the airport. I have linked to the repeated sites in this paragraph.
